What it is:

Internet safety, or online safety, is the security of people and their information when using the internet.

Here are the procedures that staff must follow when using email to ensure they stay safe and secure.

-Threats to user safety:
Inderstanding the potential of threats and the correct security measures before mobile workers leave the office will help ensure that company data and network remain safe from harm and financial loss.

CyberBullyng is an abusive behaviour and innappropiate behaviour and grooming are all expamples of threats to user safaty. It is aswell when the internet or mobile phone is used to send vicious  and unpleasant messages anonymausly against a person anime the direct intention of upsetting them.

-Information security:
Do not give out confidential information that you get from clients, friends or family (If you can avoid it at all cost). There is a Data Protection Act which sets down rules for the processing of information to protect individuals.

-Minimise risks:
If you get a strange e-mail never open the attached file if there is one. Have always an antivirus installed on your computer and the firewall ON. If you are doing a payment by the internet be very aware if it’s safe. Always have a backup of your hard drive.

-Laws, guidelines and procedures:
Copyright protects original work from being copied by others.

-Safety precautions

An ideal password is long and has letters, punctuation, symbols, numbers, use a maximum of upper and lower case alphabetic, and I recommend you to change it periodically. Do not use a word that can be found in a dictionary. The rules of email netiquette are not "rules". They are guidelines that help avoid mistakes (like offending someone when you don't mean to) and misunderstandings (like being offended when you're not meant to). These core rules of email etiquette help us communicate better via email.

Tips:

- Don't give out any personal information online.
- Try not to speak to people you don't know.
- Don't tell your password to other people.
